14.07.2006 : City-Law.net goes live

This evening www.city-law.net has been published live to the web for public viewing.

City Law are a City of London based law firm specialising in gaming, corporate disputes and financial services and recently signed on to become a client once they saw how powerful an application the XML Infinity server could be for their business.

Helen Mulcahy, a partner at City Law describes what attracted them to the XML Infinity Platform, "We opted for this system as it gives us the flexibility to change and add information very quickly. The system is very user friendly which means that keeping the site updated is simple and safe.

"I initially thought that maintaining the news section would be arduous, but in fact it is easy to do and inserting a new item takes only a few minutes."

The City Law website was developed in partnership with 400 Communications with whom Transition Media, the company behind XML Infinity, has partnered on other projects in the past.

Alicia O'Dell, Director of 400 Communications illustrates the partnership and reasons why they chose to use the XML Infinity platform for their client by saying, "Looking to build upon our previously successful working relationship with Transition Media, 400 was delighted to choose XML Infinity as the CMS [Content Management System] for City Law.

"With new usability advances and features, it provided a perfect system for our clients – giving them the freedom to update and expand as their needs change, within a cost-effective framework."

The XML Infinity system has been developed over time and was originally designed in early 2003 to meet the needs of companies such as City Law. Andrew Fisher, Chief Architect of the XML Infinity platform explains further, "The whole point of this system is to take the cost and headache out of building and maintaining a website. Small to medium sized businesses in the UK waste millions of pounds a year in development costs and staff time that could be better spent on their business activities.

"The XML Infinity platform gives these companies the ability to have a website which is as unique as they are, while being flexible enough to grow as they grow and be simple and cost effective to maintain over time."

City Law are using the XML Infinity Elements server for their web site, the design was done by 400 Communications and the technology development was done by Transition Media. For more information on how XML Infinity can help your business, email info@xmlinfinity.com

We would be the first company to say that the Internet is making communications easier and making virtual teams of people more simple to manage, however there is something inherently "right" about sitting down with a client working through a strategy to solve a problem rather than doing it exclusively by phone and email. We pride ourselves on working with our clients in very close partnership - our "one size doesn't fit all" mantra isn't just to do with how a CMS functions, it's to do with the very nature of the way our client's organisations operate.  Read more >>
