Lexecon Ltd go live today using the XML Infinity system - www.lexecon.co.uk was relaunched today with no break in service, sporting a new design and updated content throughout.
The project was a partnership between Transition Media [the owners of the XML Infinity Server] and design agency, 400 Communications.
Director of 400, Alicia O'Dell said, "We had seen the XML Infinity system in demonstration and thought it would be a great tool to use, particularly with a client who needs to manage their content like Lexecon. After some initial training and a move to a more 'publishing' model of producing content in the system everyone got to grips with it very quickly. It is truly very powerful and flexible at the same time."
XML Infinity Technical Director, Andrew Fisher, explains further, "The biggest problem people have with with our platform, particularly with someone like lexecon where they have been online for some time, is understanding the freedomg you have to work on content without making it go live.
"Many CMS-Lite solutions don't let you preview content before it goes live, so you have to get it right the first time, every time when you commit it to the database. Inevitably this doesn't happen and you end up bug fixing on the live site. XML Infinity does away with this, giving you a sandpit to play in before the content goes up.
"As soon as everyone at Lexecon understood this after a day or so of using the system their whole work process changed and became much more about contnet acquisition and quality assurance rather than dumping stuff in a database on their site and hoping for the best."

This afternoon www.board-worx.com was launched after being developed using the XML Infinity Integral server. The Board Worx website is the most extended site currently managed by the XML Infinity System with over two dozen different product lines and over two thousand products currently managed within the system. This figure is set to grow significantly through 2008 as the summer season bring a constant stream of new products onto the site. Read more >>
